Additionally, low libido and erectile dysfunction can be treated successfully in the clinic.

Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

We support women who have experienced miscarriages or who may be at risk for one due to a variety of factors, including hormonal imbalances, blood-clotting or auto-immune disorders, and chromosomal abnormalities. We'll take into account your unique history and reproductive health, and design an appropriate treatment plan to prepare you for pregnancy and to monitor your health through the first trimester, as well as offer you continued prenatal care. Not only will your tailored treatments support a healthy pregnancy, but they will also decrease anxiety and fear which are common in the first trimester. We have had the unique privilege of working with countless women through this delicate time; we understand your needs, and we're here to support you. Having a miscarriage is one of the most challenging obstacles a woman can face - and we often feel isolated as we move through the physical and emotional impacts. Recurrent miscarriages are devastating. Unfortunately there are very few answers and resources for women struggling with recurrent miscarriage. Our program was developed to support women through this delicate time, to positively impact reproductive health, and to prepare women for a healthy future pregnancy. Because we have been working with women for so long, we have identified menstrual cycle and hormonal imbalances that are common to women experiencing recurrent miscarriage. Our program assists women in correcting these imbalances, which greatly decreases the chance of miscarriage, even for women who have miscarried before.

Prenatal Care

Pregnancy is a special time, and our approach to working with women through pregnancy is unique. In pregnancy, the first goal is to support fetal growth and development based on both eastern medical and biomedical perspectives. You'll receive routine treatments throughout pregnancy with both you and your growing baby in mind, and as labor approaches you'll be gently supported to prepare for labor and assure optimal fetal positioning. Typically, women who have received regular care throughout their pregnancies experience more efficient labors with fewer complications.

Postnatal Care

Pregnancy, labor, and birth are extremely draining on a woman's constitution, and the postpartum period is an important time to take care of the body as it regains balance. We support mama and baby in our clinic in the weeks following birth by gently tonifying through acupuncture, moxibustion, dietary therapy, and herbal prescriptions. Dr. Surjana's years of experience working with moms allows her to skillfully offer support in the postpartum period, including application of the sought after treatment of "mother warming". Newborns are welcome in the clinic, and may even lay by your side during the treatment. Common postnatal concerns include anxiety/depression, continual bleeding, hemorrhoids, breastfeeding issues, fatigue, c-section scarring, uterine/bladder/rectal prolapse, and stress.

Hormonal Imbalance

Women experience hormonal imbalance in different ways. Whether you are suffering from PMS, going through menopause, or battling endometriosis or PCOS, we can help! Fluctuations in estrogen, progesterone and testosterone can lead to many unwanted symptoms. Once we determine the root of your imbalance, we'll tailor a treatment plan for you and you can watch your symptoms fade away!
